How many of you have big travel plans in place for 2019? With the new year right around the corner, plenty of residents of our Westover Hills apartments are using this time to finalize their vacation plans for the new year. Now is a good time to think about making travel plans for a number of reasons, but the biggest one is that your PTO is resetting. If you’ve got the time to travel, you might as well make use of it!
In the blog post below, we’ll be talking about some of the year’s best travel apps for mobile phones. If you’re not using apps to make your travels easier, you’re not doing it right! The apps on this list can help you enjoy better experiences, find out more about the place you’re visiting and prepare for your trip.
Without further delay, let’s dive right into the list of tips! Oh, and when you’re done reading through the post below, please feel free to share the link to this page with your friends and neighbors at Echelon at Monterrey Village — the ideal community of San Antonio luxury apartments.
This first app is perfect for the traveler who’s always on the move. Dayuse allows you to book hotels rooms for day-use only, meaning you can pop into your room to take a shower, freshen up, or hit the gym for a bit. You’ll have to be out of the room by the time nighttime rolls around, but those few hours in the room might be just what you need to relax before a flight, during a long layover, or if your flight gets delayed.
Everyone has either Google Maps or Apple Maps on their phone, but those stock map apps don’t do much more than get you from Point A to Point B. Citymapper is a little different, and a whole lot cooler. This app gets you from Point A to Point B in the coolest way possible; by taking you past landmarks, attractions and beautiful sights. Think of it as the map apps for people who like to take the scenic route.
We love this next app because it simplifies the tiresome process of organizing your trip. It’s hard to keep track of reservations numbers, confirmation numbers and all the important emails that you get every time you book a trip. With Google Trips, all that info is stored in an easy to use app on your phone. Google Trips pulls the info from your email inbox — as long as you’re using Gmail — and puts it into an easy-to-read itinerary.
Those are all the travel apps we’ve got to talk about this week, residents!
