Healthy Living Tips from your Westover Hills Apartments

  |     |   Uncategorized

Remember way back in January when you set your new year’s resolutions? If you’re like a lot of residents at our Westover Hills apartments, you probably resolved to live your healthiest life in 2018. It’s been 7 months since 2017 ended, and we want to help you stay on the right track. With that in mind, we decided to write a blog post about simple lifestyle changes you can make that will help you live your healthiest life.

Let’s get right to the blog, shall we? When you’re done reading through it, please be sure to share the link to this page with your friends and neighbors at your community of San Antonio luxury apartments.

Pack some protein into your breakfast

If you’re the type of person that has to rush out the door every morning to make it work on time, you’re probably not the type of person that sits down for a nice big breakfast. You already know that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, but did you know that protein is the most important part of breakfast?

The more protein you eat in the morning, the less hungry you’ll be throughout the day. If you eat a carb-loaded breakfast like bagels and cream cheese, however, you’ll probably find that you’re hungry again just a few hours later. It’s worth making time for a quick breakfast of eggs and veggies, or yogurt and granola!

Invest in a high-end water bottle

There’s something about having a nice water bottle around that makes it easier to get your 64 oz. of H2O every day. The bigger the water bottle, the better! So go ahead — head to the department store and buy the shiniest, most expensive water bottle you can find. This is one luxury purchase that you don’t have to feel bad about. Water helps your skin look better, it keeps you more awake and alert throughout the day, and it keeps you from drinking sugary soft drinks and sports drinks. Go ahead, splurge on water!

Spend some time in the international aisle

It’s easy to get in a rut when it you cook your own meals night after night. Don’t get us wrong — cooking for yourself is one of the best ways to save time and money. It’s just that most people only know how to cook a few meals really well, so they stick to those meals time and time again. Shopping in the international aisle at the grocery store is a great way to expand your palate and possibly add some new, healthy food to your diet. Give it a shot, residents!
