The most resident-friendly community of San Antonio luxury apartments is back with another brand new blog! In our latest post, we’ll be talking about fitness tips that you can put to use in our state-of-the-art fitness center. We love being able to workout on-site, and we’re glad to be able to provide a space for our residents to achieve their fitness goals!

Remember: Consistency is Key


It’s always better to workout for an extended period of time, but there’s no shame in going to the gym for 20 minutes if that’s all you can muster. It’s not about how long you’re at the gym — it’s about how consistently you can make it to the fitness center. You don’t want to get into a habit of skipping days, because every time you skip makes you more likely to skip the next time you feel tired or uninspired.


Inspire Yourself


Speaking of inspiration, it’s important and easy to keep yourself inspired while you work towards your fitness goals. Take a break at work and make a workout playlist. Follow a bunch of new fitness accounts on Instagram. Watch videos of new workouts and try them out next time you go to the gym. The advantage of living in a digital age is it’s super  easy to find inspiration for your fitness goals!


Watch the clock


One reason a lot of people refuse to workout more is because they’re crunched for time. We get it. It’s hard to set aside an hour every day for a workout, especially when you have limited free time after work as it is. If you want to condense your workouts and maximize your intensity, we recommend using a timer to keep track of your rest between sets. By timing your rest, you can get your workout in faster, pump up your heart rate, and build muscle faster. It will be more intense, but it will be worth it if you can stick to your faster workout times!


Log your workouts


Everyone wants to see progress when they workout, but that’s not always easy to see when you’re looking at your body in the mirror every day. It’s a lot easier to see progress when you’re looking through your workout notes, and it’s pretty encouraging too! Jot down your workout after you’re done, and update the log every time you workout. Over time, you’ll see the weights increase, the distance increase, and your workout times increase as well. It’s cool to see progress in your workout logs, even when you don’t see it on your body!
