Although our San Antonio luxury apartments are extremely spacious and comfortable, we still feel the need to give residents some tips on how they can sleep better. If you’re struggling to get a good night’s sleep, you’re not alone. People’s lives have become to busy these days that it’s hard for people to find time to get adequate rest.
Unfortunately, losing out on sleep can quickly have a snowball effect on the rest of your life. The less you sleep, the less productive you’ll be at work the next day. The less productive you are, the longer you’ll have to work, and the less sleep you’ll get the next night. Not only will you be less productive, but your decision making skills will suffer as well. It’s a hard cycle to break out of, but one that’s definitely worth the effort to fix.
If you’re struggling to fix your sleep schedule, check out the blog post below. In it, we’ll tell you how to set yourself up for success when you sleep, how to stay asleep longer, and how to avoid that horrible feeling of realizing you’re not tired when you want to go to bed. When you’re done reading this post, please be sure to share it with your friends and neighbors at your community of apartments in Westover Hills!
Eliminate those little lights from your rooms
You know the lights we’re talking about. They’re small, they're red, blue and green, and they come from your electronics and electronics chargers. Although you might not notice these lights while you’re awake, your brain certainly registers their presence while your asleep. In fact, your brain treats any light in your room as sunlight, and will wake you up if there’s too much of it. You might be waking up in the middle of the night more often than you realize, and it’s probably all because of those little lights.
Change your workout routine
If you’re really struggling to sleep and need to make a drastic change, consider changing when you work out. The best time to workout is in the morning, but a lot of people find it really difficult to wake up early and hit the gym. If you can develop a habit of working out early, however, it can pay big off big time at the end of the day. When you wake up early, you reset your internal clock. You’ll actually be tired when you want to be tired at night. If all else fails, give this a shot!
Wake up with breakfast
The last tip is less about sleep and more about feeling alive right when you wake up. As you’re probably aware, it’s called breakfast because you’re breaking the fast you were just on while you were asleep. When you break your fast, you tell your body that it’s time to start your day. The sooner you eat or drink something after waking up, the sooner you’ll get your body’s gears in motion. Instead of waiting to eat breakfast until after you’ve showered, try having a granola bar or apple first thing in the morning.
Those are all the sleep tips we’ve got, residents! Thanks for taking some time out your busy schedules to read this post — now go get some sleep! We’ll be back in a couple weeks with another brand new blog post for y’all, so please be sure to bookmark this page so you can easily check it again next month when the next blog post goes live on the site.
