Welcome to the first ever blog post from your favorite community of apartments in Westover Hills. We’ve decided to start this blog series so that we can keep our residents informed about all the advantages to living in Westover Hill apartments, and we hope you enjoy it!
Of course, Echelon at Monterrey Village has plenty of luxury amenities to keep residents busy while they’re hanging around the property, but there’s a lot to enjoy beyond our community, as well. Living in San Antonio means having access to some of the best food, sights and museums in Texas. We’re more than happy to let Dallas, Houston and Austin get all the national attention and tourists. Nobody likes dealing with crowds anyway.
In this week’s blog post, we’ll be talking about some of the best restaurants near Echelon at Monterrey Village. If you’re new in town, don’t limit yourself to Tex-Mex and Mexican food. We have nothing against those kinds of cuisine, but there are tons of other dishes to introduce your taste buds to in San Antonio.
On this list alone, we’ve got Japanese food, Cajun food, and of course, Mexican food. You really can’t create a list of to-tier San Antonio restaurants without including some Mexican establishments, but we think you should try the other regional cuisines as well.
Without further delay, let’s take a look at the top restaurants near Echelon at Monterrey Village apartments. Also, be sure to share this list with any friends or neighbors who might be new to the area!
Yelp reviewers rave about pretty much every item on this restaurant’s menu. You can’t go wrong with the shrimp & steak dish, the squid salad, the Bento Box, or the sushi, apparently. Hon Machi is known to have some of the freshest sushi in town, so we definitely recommend trying this place out next time you get that familiar sushi craving. Also, pay attention to the service, because almost every review on Yelp makes mention of how good it is.
The sole Mexican restaurant on our list is also one of the best Mexican restaurants in all of San Antonio. You’ll get warm, fresh chips when you sit down, which is always a plus. They’re best dishes are served at breakfast time, however. Try the chorizo and eggs with salsa verde for an unforgettable breakfast. If you decide to try Elizabeth’s for lunch or dinner, you can’t go wrong with the beef enchiladas. It’s all good at Elizabeth’s.
If you’re familiar with Cajun food, you can dive right into the Po’Boys and alligator nuggets at Acadiana Cafe. if you’re new to the whole Cajun food thing, you might want to try the Cajun samples which comes with red beans and rice, gumbo and etoufee. Acadiana Cafe serves good food at extremely affordable prices. You’ll pay less for dinner here than you would at lunch at most other restaurants. If you decide to go, be sure to try an order of the Cajun nachos because Yelp reviewers can’t get enough of those things.
That’s all we’ve got for the first edition of the blog, folks! We’d like to take a moment to thank you all for taking some time to read our first post. Hopefully, you’re able to find your new go-to date night spot on the list above. If you enjoyed this week’s blog, remember to check this page again in a couple weeks when we post another one.
